Introducing the game UNO

Uno is a card game with simple but extremely attractive gameplay and has long attracted a large number of players. UNO offers the perfect combination of strategy, skill and luck, making it a must-have game for any fun.

Instructions on how to play and the rules of UNO

UNO’s gameplay is designed to be fast-paced and competitive. The goal is simple: be the first to play all your cards. The deck includes four colors (red, blue, green and yellow), each with cards numbered from 0 to 9, along with special action cards such as Skip, Reversal and Draw two, Draw four. The elusive Wild cards allow you to change your current color and strategy as you play.

First, the dealer will shuffle the 108 Uno cards in his hand. Then distribute 7 cards to each person evenly, the rest of the arrangement will be placed face down in the middle of the table. When the first player plays a card, the next player is responsible for playing the card based on the following principles:

  1. Play the same color or same number
  2. You can play cards with special functions (black) because these cards can be played at any time.
  3. If there are no playing cards, you will be forced to draw 1 more card from the deck. When you pick a card that matches the above two principles, play it immediately to avoid losing your turn

The game continues like this until you or another player has 1 cards left in your hand. Before hitting, you must shout “Uno” to notify others. When you forget to shout and are discovered by your opponent, you will have to draw 2 more cards. If no one catches you wrong, you can easily come home safely

The Uno game will end when someone runs out of cards first. Then the remaining people will be counted. The calculation is as follows:

  • Add up the total points of the cards in the loser’s hand.
  • All card numbers (0-9) are counted by the points recorded on the card.
  • Draw 2, Skip and Reverse cards count for 20 points.
  • The Change Color and Change Color Draw 4 cards count for 50 points.

Function cards in UNO

  • Draw 2 Cards: You can use this card when your opponent uses a card of the same color as the +2 card you own. This card can be stacked with +2 cards of different colors or +4.
  • Wild Draw 4 Cards: This is considered the most “powerful” card in the deck. When this function card is played, you have the right to choose the color for the next turn and the next player will have to draw 4 cards.
  • Skip Cards: When playing this card, the next player will lose their turn.
  • Wild Cards (Change color): When playing this function card, you are free to choose the card color for the next turn.
  • Reverse Cards: This card is played down, the game must change rounds in a counterclockwise direction and the next player will correspond to the new round.

Notes and tips when playing Uno

  • You should play the cards with high scores first. This helps keep your final score from being too large.
  • Black cards have an extremely important function. So you should only use it when you can’t continue playing, especially when you need to turn the situation around to stop your opponent from running out of cards.
  • Remember to call “UNO” when you only have one card left.
